For many years there have been a number of well recognized prophetic voices that have proclaimed the powerful prophetic role Canada is to play in the end-time move of God’s Spirit. Kenneth Hagen, Kenneth Copeland, Bobby Conner, and Dr. Cho are just some of those voices.
It is obvious that we stand at the very threshold of the greatest move of God’s spirit ever known to man. Every day, you can open the newspaper or listen to a broadcast and see the signs of the times – end-time prophecy being fulfilled right before our eyes. Most of us realize that there are certain nations, places, and individuals that God has set aside for just such a time as this. I honestly believe in my heart that Canada is being prophetically positioned for its role. The plumb line is dropping across the nations of the world, and in every church, people group, and of course, in our individual lives, we are being called upon to discern the time and the season of God. He is realigning and redefining His Church and His people in this hour.
Let me just state a few points to confirm my position concerning Canada. First, Canada is internationally recognized as a friendly nation whose doors and hearts are open to a very diverse group of people. Its immigration policies are very liberal and humane, making it so Canada has become one of the greatest mission fields in the world. There are people here from every tribe, every tongue, and nation. Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Hamilton along with most of the other major cities of the nation, are international cities, melting pots of culture, and diversity. Less than 5% of the population of Canada are born again, blood-washed believers. Many of them were influential in their native land. Certainly, some came through hardship, but many came for educational or economic reasons. Some have chosen to stay. Some will go back and forth and be influential again in their own homeland.
I find like most countries that are experiencing open-door policies of immigration, there is a tendency on our part, to be concerned and even at times to complain about the strain that new immigrants put upon the educational, healthcare, political, and social systems. However, I can see the hand and heart of God in all of this. Many Christians with a missionary call and a heart for the nations have heard about the 10-40 window and have the heart to extend the Kingdom of God into those regions, but for assorted reasons, many of us are not able to go or to answer the simple command of the Lord to “Go Ye.” The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Sometimes, it is just not our season to go. But the Lord in His divine wisdom and because of His end-time mandate on this nation has chosen to send the 10-40 window here to Canada for just such a time as this.
In the last few years, there has been a major spiritual shift in the hearts of the Christian community in Canada. There is a fresh hunger that is being birthed. There is more unity in the Spirit, which is obviously a requirement for a move of the Spirit and the commanded blessing of God. There are certain people groups that need to be impacted because of the key role that they will play in bringing revival to the nation.
- The First Nations People
- The Inuit from the Arctic
- The French-speaking population
- The Africans
- Unity of Apostles, Pastors, and other Christian leaders
In order for revival to come to Canada, all four of these major people groups need to be impacted. Major healing and reconciliation came when the Canadian government publicly repented for the atrocities of the residential schools where so many First Nations people were abused and hurt. Just before that, there was major healing that occurred between the French and the English. David Damien and his intercessory groups traveled across the nation bringing healing and hope for revival.
Media is going to play a vital role in everything coming together. In comparison to the United States and considering the large numbers of people and resources available in Canada, the area that we are most sorely lacking is in TV, radio, Internet, and even print media exposure properly promoting and letting people know how God is working in our nation. With the vast potential that Canada has as an international mission field, we need to get the message out that God is moving in Canada, souls are at stake, and that Canada has an end-time role in the Spirit. Sometimes with Americans, I cannot even convince them that Canada is a mission field. At times, we are dwarfed by mass media and great Christian broadcasting and promotion in the United States. When are we going to realize that Canada has a key role in God’s end-time move of the Spirit?
Now is the time to blow ye the trumpet and sound the alarm. Canada is a tremendous mission field. Now is the time to let the world know that the fields are white for harvest in Canada.

“Oh Canada, I have not forgotten thee. Thou art the apple of my eye. I am going to pour forth my power upon thee and pour thee upon the nations of the world. For I not have not forgotten thee. Thou art the apple of my eye.”
